Job Description
Role Summary:
The Data Analytics Analyst is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and development of business data and performance metrics in the firm as well as provide research in current best practices in data management and business intelligence.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain various databases to be used for customer, commercial, operational and enterprise analytics
- Research and stay abreast of developments in data management and business intelligence trends and best practices
- Assist in creating and maintaining a Data Management/Governance framework for the firm
- Assist other business units with their data management or business intelligence requirements
- Assist in various data/digital projects firmwide by providing inputs and liaising with both internal and external project parties
- Assist the Head of Data Analytics on ad hoc data management initiatives
- Liaise, build and maintain good rapport with the different departments,
- Comply with regulatory requirements, company and group policies; maintain compliance awareness
Minimum Qualifications
- Relevant educational qualifications, a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Banking, Commerce or equivalent
- Experience in asset management or related industry
- Knowledge of economics and financial markets
- Preferably with experience in data science
- MBA/CFA is a plus
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical abilities and solid mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Quick thinking, creative and innovative
- Efficient and thorough
- Persistent - has follow through
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
