Job Description

As a Head of Global Community, you will be responsible for leading the global community delivering & executing the best social media & digital marketing strategy for your Game, with the ultimate goal of fostering healthy communities & helping in extending their gaming experience in-game & out.

For this position, we expect you to be passionate & tech-savvy growth leader with an understanding of the importance of communities within the blockchain ecosystem. You’re the kind of social marketeer who is aware of trends in your field & always looking for ways to instill these trends & benchmarks into your day-to-day role. It is needless to say to be truly a great fit for this position, you should be a gaming-savvy digital marketeer, with a deep understanding of the power of communities in the gaming realm.

What’s the job?

As a Head of Global Community, you will be responsible for working within the Community Leadership team to create an overall plan for taking the community to the next level through innovative strategies and top-notch execution. You will be responsible for the overall community management strategy for our blockchain gaming communities, ensuring that we have the right ways to both talk to and listen to our players, wherever they may be.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Strategy

  • Establish the strategic plan to include both short and long-range goals and ensures that the goals and forecasts are consistent with the long-range strategic objectives for the organization.
  • Designing and implementing the most adapted yet compelling community strategy for the community and its sub-communities ;
  • Proactively taking part in the elaboration of the marketing plans ensuring that all digital marketing & social marketing touchpoints are addressed in the most effective way;
  • Set & track accurate KPIs to show progression, evaluate ROI & establish proper internal benchmarks;
  • Proactively identify & propose innovating solutions & projects which will set your community apart from our direct & indirect competition;
  • Identify opportunities to craft unique experiences for their game’s players in-game & out-game (e.g contests, community collaborations, platform collaborations etc.).
  • Listen to the players and report their voice back into the Product and Marketing teams.
  • Devise strategies that will engage players and turn them from passive gamers to proactive product champions.

Community Leader:

  • Developing and implementing growth strategies.
  • Training low-level managers and staff
  • Creating and managing budgets
  • Improving engagement and analyzing engagement metrics
  • Hiring employees
  • Evaluating performance and productivity.
  • Researching and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Deliver & coordinate the evergreen content plan & coordinate the content creation process for your game;
  • Track & analyze community & content performance KPIs - draft & share reports on a regular basis;
  • Coordinate the moderation plan for the communities and sub-communities (in collaboration with the Community Leaders);
  • Developing editorial content to support the community & enrich their experience out-game: patch-notes, blogposts, newsletters etc. & report on the performance of this content;
  • Lead the strategy and development of programs for your community (e.g Content Creator Program, hashtag challenges, community contributions board etc.) & report on the performance of these initiatives;
  • Conducting benchmarks & trends observations, & be a proactive source of ideation for the Game’s marketing team.

Management:

  • People management skills & capacity to manage and lead 20-50 people.
  • Spearhead community management of over 5000 people.
  • Delivering performance reports & anticipating potential Game Community Management team growth.
  • Act as a role model of company’s mission, vision, values and people philosophy and effectively engage and communicate with team members, as well as selecting, mentoring, and managing the performance of leadership.
  • Promotes an environment that encourages planning, communications cooperation, collaboration and efficiency with effective leadership for key management positions.
  • Ensure that all activities are performed in compliance with local, state and international regulations and laws governing business operations.
  • Provide leadership in the development and execution of the company’s plans to optimize revenue and ensure profits are commensurate with the best interests of the company, its customers and employees.
  • Review and evaluate financial statements, marketing and community reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas that require cost reduction and program improvement.
  • Analyze operations to evaluate the performance of the team in meeting objectives and make recommendations for potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy changes.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction in all aspects of the company’s operations to achieve budgeted results and other financial criteria.
  • Promote and maintain the highest level of customer service to all community members while staying alert to their needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong digital leadership background with a proven track-record in delivering unique experiences with high ROI. 8 to 10 years experience in a similar role, with a clear progression. 2-3 years experience in the blockchain industry.
  • MA in Marketing, Management or similar relevant field
  • Hands-on experience with CRM and SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Adwords, HubSpot, WebTrends, SalesForce, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of big data analysis
  • Additional marketing certifications are a plus
  • A passion for blockchain gaming & gaming experiences of all kinds.
  • Relationship driven: Build credible & trusting relationships in a fast-paced environment with a broad range of colleagues & collaborators across the company & the world.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage several projects in parallel, with unique deliverables & timelines.
  • Experience with streaming and influencer marketing
  • Focused on objectives & KPIs.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge & application of social media & digital marketing tool-stack.
  • Fluent in English, both written & spoken.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced & international environment.
  • Positive energy, team spirit & a zest of fun are a must.
