Head of Engineer  

Responsibilities:

• Overall lead & manage the Tech team.
• Monitor the development & operations in different platforms, mainly web and game.
• Oversee all IT operations infrastructure.
• Develop, implement, & evaluate IT projects in line with organizational objectives.
• Liaise with relevant teams to determine and address their IT needs and requirements.
• Ensure the maintenance of current projects & technology systems.
• Identify vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, & opportunities for improvement.
• Propose strategic solutions & recommend new systems & software.
• Prepare financial budgets & performance reports.
• Build & maintain relationships with external advisors and vendors.
• Ensure reported issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Oversee the strategic deployment of the team resources leading to optimal resource allocation & successful development of sites/software.

Requirements:

• Background in computer science, IT, software development, or any other related field (postgraduate degree would be a big advantage).
• Min. 7 years of professional experience in a similar role, with at least 2-3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Must be technologically adept & demonstrate outstanding technical skills, with solid experience in coding, programming, software development, mobile or website systems, etc.
• Innate understanding of data modeling & SQL for scalability & performance as well as a strong JavaScript, XHTML, CSS, and MVC framework.
• Expertise in full stack architecture technologies & highly familiar with Javascript, Ruby, Rails, RDBMs, & HTML5 as well as knowledge of a variety of programming languages such as Java, Objective C, C, & C++.
• Possess IT management certifications would be advantageous.
• Excellent technical, diagnostic, & troubleshooting skills.
• Strong leadership & project management skills, with proven experience of leading a small to medium size team of engineers/developers.
