Job Description
Daily
- Perform reference service to students, faculty, and staff
- Circulate library materials for students and employees
- Update in-house statistics report
- Maintain orderliness in the library
- Monitor use of library cubicles
- Monitor and update library social media accounts and assist in inquiries
- Provide scanning and screen calibration services to students
Monthly
- Generate monthly reports on the utilization of library materials and services
- Process new acquisitions for circulation
Yearly
- Perform an annual inventory of library resources
- Conduct annual weeding out of outdated and irrelevant library resources
- Conduct library orientation to new students and employees
Other Responsibilities
- Attend weekly and monthly meetings
- Assist in the selection and acquisition of books for the library
- Assist in the preparation of the library’s events and activities
- Assist in the preparation of documents for school and program accreditation
- Assist with special projects and programs organized by other departments
- Keep up to date with the latest trends and best practices in the field of library and information science
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information Science
- Master’s Degree or Units in Library and Information Science is a plus but not required
- Must be a PRC License holder (RL)
- Must have at least two (2) years of relevant experience in general library work and general library operations
- General knowledge and enthusiasm with Traditional and Digital Arts, Multimedia, Information Technology and Game Development is a distinct advantage
- Must possess strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Excellent command of the English Language (both written and verbal)
- Familiarity and ability to work around Google Workspace is an advantage
- Amenable to work on Saturdays
