Job Description
Summary/Objective:
Write advertising copy for use by publication or broadcast media to promote sale of goods and services. This role will join a creative team that supports the digital and print marketing efforts of the company and our IT channel clients (managed service providers, value-added resellers, cloud service providers, vendors and partner companies in the high-tech B2B space).
A Sr. Content Creator is an experienced content developer with demonstrable B2B marketing writing skills. As a Sr. Content Creator, you should perform well under deadlines and be detail oriented.
Ultimately, you should be able to engage all marketing content initiatives ensuring customer engagement, brand consistency and a positive customer experience.
Essential Functions:
- Write to customers in their terms and on their level so that the advertiser's sales message is more readily received.
- Present drafts and ideas to and for clients.
- Vary language and tone of messages based on product and medium.
- Consult with sales and marketing representatives to obtain information on product or service and discuss style and length of copy.
- Edit or rewrite existing copy as necessary, and submit copy for approval by supervisor.
- Develop advertising campaigns for a wide range of clients, working with an advertising
- agency's creative director and art director to determine the best way to present advertising information.
- Write articles, bulletins, sales letters, speeches, and other related informative, marketing and promotional material.
- Proof and create marketing content including:
- Websites
- Landing pages
- Emails
- Newsletters
- Webinars
- Infographics
- eGuides
- Press releases
- Presentations
- Social media
- Traditional print marketing
- Research and create thought leadership campaigns/pieces within the IT and high technology industries
- Work with the digital team to incorporate SEO best practices in content
- Work with the design team to synch content with layout
- Assist with training and development of junior Content Creators
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or a related field or equivalent professional experience
- 8+ years’ experience as a B2B marketing copywriter and editor
- Experience in developing content and articulating concepts for marketing/creative briefs.
- Willingness to seek out information, work flexible hours, and take on new tasks as required to support the evolving needs of the business.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive and work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Continual generation of content ideas/strategies that contribute towards the growth of the company and its clients
- Comfortable familiarity with AP style
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Comfort with multiple, shifting priorities and short deadlines
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
- The ability to work closely and easily with a diverse team
- Professional communication skills for email, phone and in-person meetings – both internal and with external clients
- A diverse portfolio including examples across platforms and mediums
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with aptitude in conducting interviews.

- Preferred education and experience
- Hands-on experience with WordPress
