Job Description
- Supervises the daily activities and transactions of the purchasing team
- Develops and improves purchasing policies, procedures, and forms
- Established implementation of effective purchasing policies
- Receives, checks and process submitted requests for quotations and purchase requisition ensuring accuracy and compliance with the company policy and procedures
- Source vendors, negotiate prices, discounts, payment terms and ensures on-time delivery of quality goods and services
- Process accreditation with new suppliers
- Acquisition of best possible credit terms with suppliers and ensures its retention
- Process all importation requirements of the company including documentation, release and receiving of shipments
- Provides timely feedback to internal customers in terms of status of the requests
- Ensures the quality of goods, equipment and services received/delivered
- Evaluates purchases for analyzing the need and availability as necessary
- Maintains purchasing information, files and records in proper filing ensuring availability and accessibility
- Prepares Weekly/Monthly Departmental Performance Reports
- Initiates and implements improvements in all areas of purchasing
- Undertakes other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
- At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Required Skill(s): competency level in the use of MS Office and Accounting Software such as SAP, QNE, Quickbooks & similar; excellent oral & written communication skills; fully conversant with modern procurement and purchasing techniques; leadership skills and proven experience in staff development; interpersonal communications skills; should have a solid background in purchasing and supply planning and vendor management
- Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employee specialized in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
