Vendor Development Manager  

Key Accountabilities

• Building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with vendors including negotiating pricing and contracts.
• Managing the client accounts and ensures meeting the required requirements by the selected vendor.
• Developing and implementing vendor selection programs including validation and accreditation.
• Communicating vendor responsibilities and obligations.
• Establishing vendor performance standards and suggesting improvements
• Acting as an intermediary between vendors and stakeholders.
• Coordinating all vendor management activities and processes.
• Troubleshooting any vendor issues.
• Suggesting vendor management processes, policies, and methods
• Updating, renewing, and canceling vendor contracts whenever needed.
• Maintaining and updating all vendor documentation.
• Participating in training programs and company events.
• Updating contract terms of existing vendors.
• Designing business guidelines for vendors.
• Ensuring all vendor activities adhere to our company policies.
• Coach junior team members on vendor development and management.

Communication and Working Relationship

• Reporting directly to the BSD Directors and/or CEO.
• Frequent and interactive contacts with the vendors, clients, BSD & logistics operations team, and support services business functions.
• Timely submission of vendors performance reports such as risk-issues assessment, regulatory requirements, and vendor portfolio data to the BSD Directors or higher levels when necessary and required.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.

Experience, Skills, and Attributes

• At least 10 years hands-on experience in Logistics, Transportations & Freight Forwarding industry with exposure to vendor relationship management, pricing and contract negotiations, and project deliverables and/or service level agreements.
• Greater ability to contain and solve problems quickly.
