Test Automation Analyst | Manager Level  

The Test Automation Analyst (Manager Level) will be reporting to the ICT Testing Lead and will be assigned to one or more projects / releases. He/she needs to work closely with key stakeholders to define the testing activities and scope needed on the project/release.

A Test Analyst may oversee a team and serve as subject matter expert for the said team. He/she most of the time assumes the Test Lead role in a project / release.

Responsibilities:

Testing Activities (Test Design and Execution)

• Reviews and provide feedback to requirements reviews/discussions
• Develops a test plan that leads to effective testing with optimal test coverage, based on the deep understanding of the business domain and/or project/release/component.
• Design efficient and effective test scenarios and cases, based on the in-depth understanding of the business domain and application functionalities and features.
• Considers testability when reviewing the designs which result in more testable features and better test coverage.
• Applies knowledge of software development process for early discovery of defects and higher quality builds
• Performs actual test execution and analyze test results of highly complex programs/projects/releases.
• Facilitates the discovery of potential issues through the application of appropriate testing methodologies.
• Analyzes patterns of defects to identify test holes for a feature area.
• Develops and documents quality risks and mitigations.
• Develops new documentation and project testing/quality procedures.

Test Coordination and Guidance

• Be an advocate for quality.
• Provides leadership, guidance and direction to less experienced testers / users in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems.
• Drives the project test team to test effectively and efficiently to meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Helps resolve issues/remove roadblocks for the project test team and/or escalate accordingly.
• Provides regular quality status updates to IT testing lead and/or project stakeholders
• Ensures efficient and effective delivery of service; Recommends and implement process improvements

• Graduate of a 4 year degree course (ECE, Computer Science, Information Systems) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience
• Has 4+ years of automation testing experience
• Has experience in creating or updating test automation framework using Selenium Web Driver and Python
• Has vendor management experience
• Experience in leading and managing all quality deliverables of complex transformation project(s) / release(s)
• Multiple experience and an expert in test scoping and planning
• Experience in setting-up / using test tools for quality management (e.g. JILE, Micro Focus ALM, qTest, etc.)
• Experience in setting-up / using test automation tool(s) like Selenium Web Driver is required
• Experience in software testing projects involving different software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
• Experience in applying different testing methodologies and processes
• Expert in design of test cases and test data based on requirements
• Ability to monitor and facilitate testing progress
• Ability to create and implement test strategies on multiple test activities
• Ability to facilitate discovery of potential problems and address gaps in inspections and reviews
• Ability to coach, train and lead lower level Test Analysts / Testers
• Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
• Passion for testing excellence through automation and process improvements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
• Self-starter with an ability to learn beyond formal training, aptitude for delivering quality products
