Responsibilities: 
 
AWS Infrastructure &amp; Security

- Follow AWS Well-Architected - learn, measure, and build using architectural best practices. 
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure (Fargate, ECS, ECR, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch and others). 
- Implement IAM best practices, access control, and security logging. 
- Monitor system logs, security alerts, and cloud compliance tools to maintain a secure environment. 
- Research current and existing technologies for potential use. 
- Help troubleshoot and fix problems in production.

 
Containerization &amp; CI/CD

- Manage Docker containers and optimize AWS Fargate workloads. 
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeCommit. 
- Conduct security scanning (e.g., Trivy, AWS Inspector) on container images.

 
PostgreSQL &amp; Database Operations

- Deploy and maintain automated backups. 
- Configure connection pooling and security. 
- Implement PostgreSQL read replicas for scaling. 
- Monitor database performance and ensure secure database configurations.

 
Security &amp; Monitoring 

- Maintain AWS Security best practices, including encryption, logging, and monitoring. 
- Implement network security controls (VPC, security groups, firewall rules). 
- Automate security checks and proactively identify vulnerabilities in cloud workloads.

 
Nice-to-Have Skills (Big Plus, but Not Required):

- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Memcached. 
- Experience with AWS WAF, GuardDuty, or security auditing tools. 
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with CloudFormation. 
- Knowledge of Redis &amp; Memcached performance tuning. 
- Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or Ruby.

We’re looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to lead the migration of our existing infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and manage the long-term stability, performance, and scalability of our systems. You’ll play a key role in assessing our current architecture, executing the lift-and-shift migration, and implementing GCP-native best practices for deployment, monitoring, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
