Associate Developer  

Main Responsibilties :

The Associate Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating Unicapital’s digital initiatives. This role will lead the architecture and implementation of client-facing and internal data-driven systems, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and seamless system integration.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Application Architecture & System Design • Design scalable, secure, and high-performance system architectures for digital financial products. • Define integration frameworks between new digital modules and the existing Trading Platform. • Establish API standards, data flow design, and system documentation. • Ensure compliance with financial data security and regulatory requirements.

2. Backend, API & Data Engineering

• Design and develop robust backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Implement data pipelines and aggregation processes across trading and operational systems.
• Optimize database structures for performance and scalability.
• Manage real-time and batch data processing where applicable.

3. Frontend & User Experience Development

• Develop responsive and intuitive dashboards and user interfaces.
• Implement data visualization components for financial analytics.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to enhance user engagement.

4. Cloud, DevOps & Performance Optimization

• Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and version control best practices.
• Monitor application performance and resolve bottlenecks proactively.
• Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery mechanisms.

5. Collaboration & Technical Leadership

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Contribute to long-term digital strategy and innovation initiatives.

6. Documentation & Governance

• Maintain technical documentation including system architecture diagrams and API specifications.
• Establish coding standards and development best practices.
• Ensure proper version control, testing, and release documentation. Generate reports on development progress and system performance metrics.

And other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree qualification or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of solid experience in software development, preferably in financial systems or fintech environments.
• Strong proficiency in full-stack development (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular for frontend; Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET for backend, etc.).
• Experience designing and integrating APIs (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Understanding of system security, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and access controls. Cloud & DevOps:
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools.
• Understanding of infrastructure scalability and reliability best practices. Soft Skills & Collaboration: • Strong system design and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead projects independently with high ownership.
