Job Description
The work:
We are looking for someone who is skilled in graphics technology programs and creates designs and effects for digital media. Game Designers will have typically studied a technology or design related discipline which would enable them to create illustrations, visual designs and/or computer animation.
- Collaborates with fellow creatives and the business to brainstorm, develop, and complete projects
- Creates sketches and models using computer animation or modeling software
- Creates storyboards to demonstrate play by play sequences and illustrate key scenes in the production
- Uses computers, film, digital cameras, and other tools to create graphics and animation
- Edits design outputs based on feedback from other animators, designers, and directors
- Conducts research for upcoming projects to assist with design outputs
Minimum Qualifications
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree course, preferably IT, Interactive Entertainment and Multimedia Computing, and other related course in game development
- Must have at least 2 years relevant work experience in the following:
- Design Conceptualization
- Illustration
- 3D Modeling
- Storyboarding
- Must be proficient in at least 2 of the following tools and software:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe XD
- Blender
- Unity
- Unreal
- Figma
- Sketch & Invision
- Extremely proficient with 3D animation software
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Bonus point if you have:
- Rigging
- Animation
- Environment Design
- Art & Creative Direction
- UX Design
