Backup or Storage Architect  

Responsibilities:

Strategy
Awareness and understanding of the Group's business strategy and model appropriate to the role.

Identify & recommend new products or technology that can add value to the organization and align to the storage strategic goals

Work with Security Technology Services to ensure Storage architecture design/solutions can meet bank security standards.

Develop RFPs/RFIs, oversee product evaluations, coordinate product selections, ensuring pricing, terms and conditions meet bank IT standards

Business
Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the group operates.

As a critical technology service for the bank, ensure Storage architecture design have high availability to remains stable and performing optimally

Gain a deep understanding of business objectives and priorities.

Processes .

Ensure that Storage Engineering complies with the Technology Services processes within the Architecture Framework. These include, Security Architecture & Capability Authority (SACA), Technology Services Technology Council (TSTC) and Infrastructure Architecture Standards.

Ensure the team always follows operational best practices.

Ensure the highest levels of ownership, accountability and service are maintained within the team.

Review, uphold and enforce all Bank technical, security, quality, and engineering standards on supported products.

Ensure compliance with Bank ITSM processes such as Incident, Change and Problem Management Manage Storage product lifecycle (support dates, investment status), features, bugs, CVE's and security standards.
