Sr Intelligent Automation Engineer  

General Responsibilities:

The Sr Intelligent Automation Engineer integrates AI, machine learning (ML), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), process mining, and the Power Platform to streamline business processes and enhance digital operations. This role supports solution design, development, deployment, and operationalization of automation solutions aligned with business transformation initiatives.

Automation Design & Development

• Design automation solutions based on PDDs (Process Definition Documents) and SDDs (Solution Design Documents).
• Develop and implement automation components using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps), Copilot, and AI Foundry.
• Create TDDs (Technical Design Documents) and break down solution tasks.
• Conduct end-to-end process mapping to identify automation potential and define scope.
• Ensure code quality through structured code review processes and version control standards (e.g., Git).
• Build and maintain reusable automation scripts and components, ensuring scalability and maintainability.

Testing & Quality Engineering

• Develop test strategies, test cases, and automation scripts to validate system functionality and performance.
• Implement defect prevention strategies and automation test metrics.
• Ensure automation quality through functional, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.

Documentation & Standards

• Document automation processes, user instructions, and system behavior.
• Maintain test documentation including test plans, cases, results, and compliance records.
• Define and apply development standards for automation scripts, deployment, and reuse.

Collaboration, UAT Support, and Coaching

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Transformation Managers in process discovery and solution alignment.
• Provide support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect tracking and resolution.
• Mentor junior team members on automation techniques, tools, and best practices.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including developers, PMs, and business stakeholders.

• Related Work Experience – At least 4–5 years of progressive experience in automation engineering
• Hands-on delivery of intelligent automation using RPA tools and Power Platform
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools and process mining solutions
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
• RPA certification (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Power Automate) is a plus
• Knowledge – In-depth knowledge in the following:
• Expert level in Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
• Intermediate knowledge in Copilot, Celonis and AI Foundry
• Sound knowledge of quality assurance practices, automation, tools, and techniques and how to apply them
• Skills:
• Must have the ability to co-lead a small Automation Team on a project
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively both written and oral
• Must have the ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables
• Must have the ability to identify productivity and efficiency improvements as well as quickly and easily adapt to change
• Must have excellent communication including effective facilitation and presentation skills
• Must have strong planning, organization, risk management, and problem-solving skills

• Must be adept to work in a fast-paced environment with tight SLAs.
