This role is designed for high ownership and high learning. You will have direct exposure to leadership decision-making and will collaborate closely on execution, prioritization, and technical direction.

Our leadership team combines deep healthcare technology operating experience with proven startup scaling capability. You will work directly with Christian Besler, a health-tech veteran with 20+ years experience and degree from Columbia University, and Nathaniel Ricca, a Harvard Business School graduate who previously built and scaled a Y Combinator-backed startup.

Role overview

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to drive high-ownership execution across frontend and backend and to help shape the platform’s technical foundation. You will make architectural contributions, deliver complex features end-to-end from a technical standpoint, improve engineering workflows, and mentor teammates. This role is suited for someone who wants their technical scope to grow over time through demonstrated impact.

Time commitment: This role is expected to consistently exceed 40 hours per week due to the scope of ownership, delivery urgency, and the expectation of demonstrable capability to grow responsibilities over time.

What you will own

You will be accountable for:

• End-to-end technical execution: Translate product requirements into reliable shipped software by owning architecture, implementation, testing strategy, and deployment across frontend and backend
• Scalability and reliability: Improve system architecture and operational readiness so the platform scales with growth
• Security posture: Strengthen authentication, authorization, and secure handling of sensitive data
• Engineering effectiveness: Increase maintainability and delivery velocity through standards, reviews, testing, and pipeline improvements
• Technical leadership: Mentor engineers and serve as escalation for complex engineering decisions and incidents

What we are looking for (must-haves)

• 5+ years of full stack development experience
• Strong proficiency in:
• Vue.js, React, or similar
• Expo SDK and Expo Router
• Node.js and TypeScript
• PostgreSQL, GraphQL
• Backend architectures and APIs
• Proficient in system design so that all the technologies, tools, and data decisions made are aligned and scalable
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and application security
• Experience with mobile and web development
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment best practices
• Experience mentoring developers or leading technical initiatives
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Previous startup experience
• Experience in healthcare technology or regulated environments
