Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Management
- Categorize and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online
- Perform monthly account reconciliations
- Maintain clean and organized financial records
- Assist with bookkeeping cleanup and historical corrections as needed
- Manage receipt/expenses tied to transactions
- Support year-end tax preparation and coordination with CPA
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Provide weekly and/or monthly financial reports
- Monitor cash flow and account balances
- Help identify spending trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning initiatives
- Help establish systems for business goals such as debt payoff, reserve savings, and marketing budgets
Operational & Strategic Support
- Recommend improvements to bookkeeping systems and workflows
- Help transition from a “Profit First” style setup to a more traditional bookkeeping structure if appropriate
- Answer questions regarding financial reports and bookkeeping processes
- Explain financial information clearly to non-accounting team members
- Assist with implementing better financial habits and procedures
- Possibly take on payroll in the long-term
Hours
- Tuesday: 9:00am - 12:00pm PST
- Friday: Flex between 5:00am - 10:00am PST
Minimum Qualifications
Must Have Requirements for the Candidate
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online
- Fluent/Easily understood English
- Can identify opportunities for improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial Planning Industry experience
- Experience with payroll & expense management
