Programmer Support Staff  

System Monitoring:

• Monitor the performance and functionality of the systems used by the company on a regular basis.
• Identify and troubleshoot any issues or anomalies in system behavior.
• Work proactively to prevent system downtime and ensure uninterrupted service.

System Updates and Maintenance:

• Assist in the implementation of software updates, patches, and upgrades as directed by the IT team.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure the security, stability, and efficiency of the systems.
• Document all maintenance activities and changes made to the system configuration.

User Support:

• Provide technical support and assistance to users within the government offices who encounter issues with the systems.
• Respond promptly to user inquiries and resolve problems efficiently to minimize disruptions to workflow.
• Collaborate with the IT helpdesk team to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.

System Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Create user manuals, troubleshooting guides, and other documentation to facilitate user understanding and self-help.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate closely with other members of the IT team, including developers, system administrators, and project managers.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns related to system support.

• Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills;
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details;
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
• Ability to understanding of programming concepts and databases;
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements;
• Knowledge of government processes and systems is advantageous but not required.
