Web Development Duties

• Development Duties
  • Implement APIs related to a specified project/product (backend engineers)
  • Coordinate with frontend engineers for API changes/ updates
  • Implement database design for a specific project
  • Perform necessary database updates if a function requires a change in the database schema
• System Design Duties
  • Participate in API design
  • Participate in system architecture design
  • Participate in system database design
• Infrastructure Management
  • Implement system infrastructure when necessary
  • Maintain system infrastructure
• General Website Maintenance
  • Perform modifications to a specified website

Other Duties

• Perform testing when necessary, on systems
• Join client meetings to clarify anything related to the implementation of a project or service.
• Communicate with the client to clarify the implementation of certain items as well as send updates.
• Develop company code libraries
• Research for tools, processes and development of standards that will help the company perform more efficiently

• Excellent communication skills
• Can easily and comfortably work with a team composed of different roles (dev, QA, SA, PM)
• Proactive
• Can work autonomously
• Eager to work in a fast-paced environment
• Back-end: Laravel, PHP
• Database: MYSQL or any other relational database management system
• Knowledge in version control (any of the ff: Git, Mercurial, SVN)
